“The Rosary” is Clara’s story. She arrives at her Aunt Maria’s house, to help with the many condolences visits, for Uncle Gianni, Maria’s husband, died the day before. But Clara gets caught into the frantic research for a rosary to put in the hands of Uncle Gianni, by Maria’s eccentric old English friend Wendy. The research soon… becomes an amusing journey for Clara, from Aunt Maria’s apartment to Wendy’s apartment in the same building, that will help Clara to understand that any reaction to the pain is just a way to keep living for life is always stronger.
It is an unusual and funny comedy suggesting that the “death rites” are useful to the living to overcome their pain, reminding that, in elderly people, oblivion might just be a defence mechanism for— life is always stronger!
